Hailu B. Kassa received B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Defense University, Ethiopia, in 2005, M.S. degree in telecommunications engineering from Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 2009 and Dr. Eng. degree in electrical engineering from Morgan State University at Baltimore, Maryland in 2018. He served in academia at different universities like at Hawassa University, Hawassa, Ethiopia as the Department Chair, Lecturer, Research and Curriculum development coordinator, in 2009-2012. He served as a Lecturer at St. Mary’s University, in 2006 – 2009 and visiting lecturer at Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2013 – 2014. Currently, he is a Post Doc Researcher and Adjunct Lecturer of the Cybersecurity Assurance and Policy (CAP) Center for Academic Excellence in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. His research interests include 5G security, energy efficiency design of wireless communication systems, distributed sensor networks and IoT, wireless sensor network for healthcare applications, and big data analysis, extraction and forensic. Dr. Hailu Kassa serves or has served on the review of several Wireless Communication Systems related IEEE international Conferences and Journals. Dr. Kassa also worked at different industries as Software Engineer such as at Dallol Group Inc, Atlanta, USA in 2016 and at Unicom Solution Plc, Ethiopia in 2014 – 2015
